United DTS

United Discipleship Training School is a course co-organized by YWAM Lapland and YWAM Embrace. The lecture period is partly in Rovaniemi and partly in Vantaa. DTS also includes a 8-10 week period abroad. This is a school where you will grow in your relationship with God and learn to apply the Word in your life. You will find your calling and gifts more clearly and you will be able to try missionary work and learn to share your faith with others.

The Discipleship Training School (YWAM DTS) gives you an opportunity to discover your passions and your part in God’s purposes for the world. It is for those who long to follow Jesus in new ways with a different perspective.

What is a Discipleship Training School?

The DTS is a five month program blending classroom learning, small group activities, personal reflection, practical service, and community living. The training comes in two parts: lecture phase and outreach phase.

LECTURE PHASE

Know God more.

In the lecture phase your focus will be on knowing God, His Word and His world. You will seek transformation, a renewed mind, and personal growth. You’ll learn not only from teachers but also from community living and practical training. We will learn about different topic such us Hearing God’s voice, Intercession, Biblical Worldview, Missions and much more. Every week we will also have practical work, book reading, one on ones, evangelism, journaling and many other different activities.

OUTREACH PHASE

Make Him known.

During the outreach phase your class will break up into teams to serve God out in the world. You will have a chance to discover your abilities as you care for people and share the good news of Jesus. This can be done in different ways; children’s ministry, mercy ministry, sport, street evangelism, serving practically, attending different events and more. As part of this school we are planing to do this part in Argentina.

After the outreach we we will finish the school with a time of debriefing, teaching and the graduation celebrating what God has done during this time.
